Howard Peterson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Peterson (Willmar, Minnesota), who passed away on March 4, 2020 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Peterson and Ellen Peterson; his wife Anna Mae of Kandiyohi; his siblings, Richard (Dorothy Peterson), Ralph (Brownell Peterson), Algene (Elaine Peterson) and Arlene Peterson; and his brothers-in-law, Austin Cole and Allan Backlund.
He is survived by: his children, Jane (Jonathan Holmquist), Ann (Stanley Sommer), Barbara (Kevin Zachman), Emily (Timothy Marusich) and Ross; his daughter-in-law Myna Peterson of Cannon Falls, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Carl (Elizabeth Holmquist), Samuel (Megan Sommer), Maria (Cory Hartstein), Andrew (Stacy Zachman), Daniel (Maria Zachman), Isaac Peterson, Brock Peterson and Anna Marusich; his great grandchildren, William, Nathan Holmquist, Charlotte, Caroline, Benjamin, Harrison Sommer, Braeden, Halle Zachman, Otto, Jack and Harvey Zachman; and his sisters-in-law, Iris Backlund of Kandiyohi and Emily Cole (Backlund) of Decorah.
Memorials will be given to Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson, MN or the University of Minnesota Gopher Baseball program.
