We bid farewell to George Eugene Willms of Willmar, Minnesota, born in Cottonwood, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 24, 2024 at the age of 88. George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Willms and Marie Willms (Ysker); his parents-in-law, Elmer K. and Minnie Lursen (Henrich); his sister Dolores Morehouse (Jay); and his siblings-in-law, Calvin Lursen (Judy), Don Viergutz, Eldon Lursen, Verla Lursen and Marla Lidman (John).
He is survived by: his wife Adeline; his children, Kent Willms (Renae) of Pennock and Kim Erwin (Maurice) of Blythedale, MO; his grandchildren, Nick Willms (Melody), Jesse Deutz (Tammy), Andrew Bonine, Taylor Willms (Brooke) and MacKenzie Bonine; his great grandchildren, Diego, Sean, Mason, Emma Willms, Cameron Bonine, Lainey, Cullen Deutz, Paxton, Camden and Bennett Willms; his sister Donna Nylen (Dean); and his sister-in-law Gladys Viergutz. He is also survived by his thirteen nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to CentraCare Hospice or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
