Gene Fenstra Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2024, at the age of 97, Gene Fenstra of Willmar, Minnesota passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gene Fenstra to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Fenstra and Elsie Fenstra (Laabs); his wives, Elaine "Marcella" (Swenson) and Elizabeth "Betty" Swenhaugen (Speckmeier); his stepsons, Kurt Hoehne and Scott Swenhaugen; and his siblings, Lucille Worden (Don), Irene Erickson (Willy), Don and Sam Fenstra.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Gail Van Buren (Berna), Peggy Hoehne, Barry VanBuren (Phyllis), Linda Braunwarth (John), Chuck Swenhaugen (Leanna), Jane Skaalerud (Robert) and Paul Swenhaugen; and his sister Helen Brandon (John). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Memorials are preferred to Calvary Lutheran Church for baptism faith chests, Habitat for Humanity, or Hospice.
