He is survived by: his sister Linda Berends (Alan); his nephews, Christopher Berends (Belinda) and Jason Berends; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Anthony, Jordan, Andrea, Preston Berends, Andrew, Aaron and Alicia Lubrant; his aunt Dorothy Rude (Kathy Gould); and also Ryder Holwerda. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
