It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn Bendel of Willmar, Minnesota, born in Madison, Minnesota, who passed away on October 17, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar O. Storlien and Nora Storlien (Lyng); her husband Urban Bendel of Michael's Catholic Church; her siblings, Howard, Oliver "Bud", Bernice and Doris; her sons-in-law, Mark Tonsfeldt and Jon Burks; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas Gustafson and Aster Tonsfeldt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Haukos (Melvin) of Blomkest, Barb Bendel of Minneapolis and Laurie Burks of Svea; and her grandchildren, Mitchell Haukos (Alicia), Melanie Bemis (Steve Masse), Matthew Haukos, Mindy Haukos, Montigue Haukos, Joe Tonsfeldt (Sydney) and Emily Tonsfeldt. She is also survived by her eight great-grandchildren; her four step-great-grandchildren; and her two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to United Lutheran Church.
