He is survived by: his wife Sandy Jakel; his children, Terri Roschild (Terry) of Renville, Suzi Scherling (Larry) of Casper, WY, Pam Beck (Todd) of Miltona, Greg Kemnitz (Jackie) of Thompson, IA, Larry Jakel (Tonya) of Cold Spring, Scott Jakel (Carrie) of St. Paul, Darren Jakel (Joyce) of Rogers, Jeff (Sarah) and Sieck; his siblings, Darlene Rock (Lenny), Diane McCracken and Dan Kemnitz (Trudy); and his siblings-in-law, Duaine Amundson (Ann), Stanley Abbas (Phyllis), Paul Abbas (Jolyn), Lowell Abbas (Charlotte), Mary Abbas and Mavis Maurice (Wayne). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to Hawk Creek Animal Shelter, American Heart Association or Calvary Lutheran Church.
