It is with great sadness that we announce the death of DDS Duane Theodore Hanson of Willmar, Minnesota, born in Brainerd, Minnesota, who passed away on July 25, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Hanson and Alvina Hanson (Racine); his wife Marian Torgelson; his son-in-law Wally McClellan; his sister Darlene Mills (Ken); and his siblings-in-law, Pete and Liz Mathison.
He is survived by: his children, Susan McClellan, Shelly David, Eric Hanson (Andrea), Dr. Tom Hanson and Dr. Michael Hanson (Jodi Fonkert); and his grandchildren, Kajsa Pyers, Stacy McClellan, Kristi McClellan, Remington Riehl, Ciara Riehl, Ben Hanson, Isabelle Hanson, Riley Hanson, Cole Hanson, Nick Hanson, Brett Hanson, Dr. Samantha Hanson and Jessa Hanson. He is also survived by his family, especially his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Willmar Public School Foundation are preferred.
