He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruno Asche and Grace Asche (Zimmer); his stepmother Alieda Asche; his son Alexandre Asche; his parents-in-law, Gerrit and Jeanette Visser; and his brother-in-law Lowell Knapper.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Asche of Willmar; his children, Kimberly Asche (Darren Borders) of Minnetonka and Andrew Asche (Sally McGill) of Raymond; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Asche of Chaska; his grandson Drew Hutchens; his sisters, Connie Knapper of Willmar and Debra Slagter (Gary) of Clara City; and his brother-in-law Garrett Visser (Joyce) of Alexandria. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Rice Health Foundation for dialysis.
