Carol Lou Johnson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Lou Johnson of Willmar, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandfather Alfred Hagelbeck; her parents, Carl Rostberg and Virginia Rostberg (Lipsit); her grandparents, Ruby Danley, Ida Hagelbeck, Helmer and Alma Rostberg; her foster parents, Dr. Wayne Brownell and Mary Jane Brownell; her foster daughter Kim Marie Thayer Sanderson; and her brother Alvin Rostberg.
She is survived by: her husband Col. Tim Johnson of Willmar; her sons, Jeffrey Hobson (Cheryl) of Crown Point, IN., Dr. Kim Hobson (Buelah) of Garland, TX. and Chris Johnson (Charlotte) of Minneapolis; her grandchildren, Hannah, Kharli, Dartagnan and Cameron Sanderson (Tasha) of Clontarf; her siblings, Terry Lipsit of Willmar, Becky Moyer (Jim Beverson) of Hutchinson, Jennnifer Werkman of Willmar, Madrene Grund (Scott) of Hatton, ND. and Hope Rostberg of Minneapolis; and her sister-in-law Diane Rostberg of Henderson.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene (515 12th St SW, Willmar, MN 56201).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are strongly encouraged to the Willmar Church of the Nazarene to honor Carol.
