He is survived by: his mother Gloria King of White Earth; his children, Deondra Bellanger of Moorhead, Maria Bellanger of Moorhead, Jerel Jr. of Mahnomen and Taelyn Bellanger of Ogema; his grandchildren, Addison Heisler and Azriel Simon; his siblings, Jason "Jake" Bellanger of Ogema and Heather Berry (Cory) of Ogema; and his aunts, Emma, MaryJo, Liz and Betty Ann King.
