He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Sweeney and Marguerite Sweeney. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Giorgi (Mark), Margaret Sweeney and Molly Caswell (Cole); his granddaughters, Charlotte Caswell and Grace Giorgi; his siblings, Shannon Thompson (Paul), Bridget Jo (Chris) and Michael Sweeney; and the mother of his children Elisabeth Sweeney.
