He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd and Dorothea; his mother-in-law Virginia Reed; and his siblings, Tom, Carol Jensen and Jan Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his sons, Doug (Kim), Jeff (Nancy) and Brian (Tanya); his grandchildren, Britt (Phil), Amy (Kenny), Jamie, Cassie (Joe), Jenny (Victor), Mike, Andrew (Chrissy), Levi (Abby), Kristen (Mike), Kelley T. J. (Jeff), Cole and Tyler; and his siblings-in-law, Earline Lemon, Sally Amrhien and Tom Johnson. He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and God children.
Memorials preferred to St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
