She was predeceased by: her husband William; and her children, Allen (Koreen), Sandy Schad (Chris) and Rev. Eugene. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Whitney Theisen, Connor Theisen, Lucas Schad (Natalie) and Cole Schad (Danielle); and her brother Leo Jackels.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to either of the following organizations: Presbyterian Home Foundation -Please designate the gift to Boutwells Landing-Gables 3rd Floor , which goes directly to thank Irene's caregivers that supported her the last four years of her life.
