He was predeceased by: his parents, David Johnson and Gladys Johnson; his wife Vera Kvick; his brother Clayton; his son-in-law Gary Johnson; and his grandson Travis.

He is survived by: his daughters, Vicky Johnson of Wheaton, MN and Judy Johnson of Hoffman, MN; his grandchildren, Dustin Johnson of Wheaton and Amber Johnson of St. Paul, MN; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Aurora and Gavin Johnson.
