She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Chalupnik and Rosalia Chalupnik (Karsky); her husband Peyton Johanson; her siblings, Martha Blake (Joe), Lillian Koch (Herman), Dorothy Fischer (Richard), Elsie Chalupnik, Gladys Steen (David), Anthony Chalupnik, Ludwig Chalupnik, Raymond Chalupnik (Betty) and Donald Chalupnik; and her sister-in-law Andree Chalupnik.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Hoffmann (Delbert) of Huron, SD, Janet Koch (Dan Vipond) of Wheaton, Douglas Johanson (Karla) of Bismarck, ND, Nancy Budke (Keith) of Wheaton, Bradley Johanson (Glenda) of Alexandria, MN, Kimberly Hess (Scott) of Sioux Falls, SD, Gregory Johanson (Denise) of Herscher, IL and Amy Friday (Jeffrey Bunte) of Portland, OR; her siblings, George Chalupnik, Larry Chalupnik (Dagmar), Rosemary Medbery and Mary Jane Tschakert (Richard); and her sisters-in-law, Georgiann Chalupnik and Carol Chalupnik. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren.
