He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Carl Simpson and Dorothy Rose Simpson (Berry); his wife Doris Y. Simpson (Gullickson); his daughter JoAnne M. Simpson; his son-in-law Gene Johnsen; his grandson-in-law Jason Goche; and his siblings, Eva Strazzabosco and Gene Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Morgan Simpson (Ann) of Kennewick, WA, Rosann Johnsen of Milbank, SD, Teresa Leininger (Dwight) of Loveland, CO and Renae Pederson (Loren) of Johnson, MN; his grandchildren, Ashley Bray-Simpson, Elisabeth Burgett (Burke), Sara Goche, Kelly VanHorn (Corey), Joy Bjordahl (Paul), Grant Lichtsinn, Dillon Lichtsinn, Jacob Pederson and Rose Pederson; and his great grandchildren, Anika Bjordahl, Kiersten Bjordahl, Elise Bjordahl, Johanna Bjordahl, Gretchen Bjordahl, David Bjordahl, Alexis Goche, Brianna Goche, Darin VanHorn, Yavonne VanHorn, Oliver Burgett and Elle Burgett.
