He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Evelyn Peterson; his sisters, Stella Knuth and Lyla Stahn; and his brother-in-law Ray Jurgens. He is survived by: his wife Shirley LaVonn Peterson; his children, Gregg (Karl), Todd (Jenny), Lori (Holly Hysjulien) and Stacy Gustafson; his granddaughters, Hanna and Ellen Gustafson; and his siblings, Ardythe Jurgens and Darrell Lester.
