He is survived by: his significant other Meg Berger; his children, Theresa Guertin (Jeff) and Peter Spychalla (Jody); his grandchildren, Dan Eaton (Megan), Amanda Wallner (Ryan) and Haven Spychalla; his great grandchild Peyton Wallner; his adoptive children, Kathy Deutsch (Jim), Chuck Soule (Becky) and Brian Soule (Monica); his grandchildren, Craig Deutsch (Anna), Matt Deutsch, Emily Soule, Zach Soule (Christina), Raushan Soule, Arman Soule, Sammy Carlson (Andy), Alex Soule and Brooklyn Soule; his great grandchildren, Mya, Mason Deutsch, Haylee, Caleb and Wyatt Soule; his brothers, Robert and Leo; and his close friend Joyce Knudson. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
