He was predeceased by: his wife Floraine; and his parents, Norman and Catherine. He is survived by: his siblings, Dorothy Yarusso, Rita Reynolds and Francis LaMotte; his children, Rochelle McDonald, Yvonne LaMotte, Richard J. LaMotte (Jennifer) and Robert LaMotte (Natalie); his grandchildren, Jeffrey (Whitney), Melissa, Matthew, Casey, Zachary (Michelle), Sydney and Josh; and his great grandchildren, Aaron, Calum and Ian.
