She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachael Jansen (Keating) and John Edward Jansen; her husband Walter Schwendig; her siblings, John and Helen; and her sister-in-law Dorothy.

She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara, Deborah (Charlie), Teresa (Paul) and Trude; her grandchildren, Kristine (Felipe), Joseph, Marlowe and Amber; her niece Joani; and her friend Rick Ziton.
