He was predeceased by: his spouses, Rita Marie Donlan (Brown) and Gertrude Helen Donlan (Peterson); his parents, John F. Donlan Sr. and Louise Donlan; and his sister Margaret Still.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Allison (Ted), Michael Donlan (Kari), Kevin Donlan (Connie), Timothy Donlan and Daniel Donlan (Jaci); his grandchildren, Colleen Brinkman (Nate), David Allison (Clayton Critcher), McCall Donlan, Madison Nienhuis (Jacob), Andrew Donlan, Clare Donlan and Katherine Donlan; his great grandchildren, Ella and Cecelia Brinkman; and his brother-in-law Leonard Still. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to: Catholic Charities Higher Ground, Boy Scouts of America or Minnesota Historical Society.
