He was predeceased by: his parents, Algot Nyquist and Lillian Nyquist; and his son Eric James Nyquist. He is survived by: his wife Rhea Sherburne of Scobey, MT.; his brother Carter Nyquist of Laramie Wyoming; his daughters, Ramona Cunningham (Ross) and Heidi Hickey (Bill); his daughter-in-law Kristin Nyquist; and his grandchildren, Cameron Nyquist, Peter Nyquist (Allie), Madeline Nyquist (Dennis), Jacob Hickey, Ben Hickey, Sam Hickey and Marit Hickey.
He was an early convert to smoking meat, and even donated smoked turkeys for the occasional silent auction.
