Eugene S. Kahnke Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2020, at the age of 91, Eugene S. Kahnke of West Saint Paul, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebastian Kahnke and Regina Kahnke (Schmidt); his brothers, Lawrence Kahnke and Alvin Kahnke; his siblings-in-law, Margaret Kahnke, Phyllis Brunner and James Templin; and his son-in-law Timothy Orlando.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Templin; his children, Catherine Orlando of Lake Elmo, Daniel Kahnke (Debbie) of Elko and William Kahnke (David Tukua) of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Sarah Carlson (Steve), Matt Orlando, Jeffrey Kahnke (Christine), Ryan Kahnke, Alex Kahnke (Miranda) and Breanna Schofield (Eric); and his siblings-in-law, Aurelia Kahnke, Rogene Templin and Patrick Brunner (Joan). He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and extended family.

During his tenure, he worked with numerous Legion programs, including the Lyle Mickelson Fund, Heart Research Foundation, Legionville Corporation, Kidney House Fundraiser, and the Brain Science Foundation.
