She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harvey Knudson and Genevieve Knudson (Howe); her former husband James Chicos; her children, Patty Hortop of Rochester, Pam Thomas of West Concord, Diane Hortop (Mike Leopold) of Owatonna, Vince Chicos (Stephanie) of West Concord, Matthew Chicos of Dodge Center and Jeffrey Chicos of West Concord; her sisters, Bonnie Butler of Dodger Center and Karen Knudson of Dodge Center; her daughter Mary Espenson; her granddaughter Megan Hortop; and her brother Robert Knudson. She was also cherished by 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren.
