He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Groskreutz and Helena Groskreutz; and his siblings, Dorothy Osland, Gerald Groskreutz, Rev. Donald Groskreutz, Dr. Harvey Groskreutz, Ronald Osland, Gerald Melcher and Harold Bakken.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Bakken; his sons, Chad Groskreutz of Wells, MN and Layne Groskreutz (Charity); his grandson Aiden; his sister Margaret Melcher of Albert Lea, MN; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Groskreutz of Sioux Falls, SD, Mardella Groskreutz of Oakland, CA, Jean Groskreutz of New Albany, IN and Eunice Bakken of Albert Lea, MN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
