He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Robbins and Alice Robbins; his brother Jim Robbins; and his father-in-law Donald Sonnek. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Tracy Rucker (Ned), Sara Hitchen (Kevin), Scott Robbins (Olivia) and Kellie Robbins; his grandchildren, Liz Nash (Jordan), Andrew Rucker, Noah, Mia and Emma Hitchen; his sister Mary Hall (Steve); his mother-in-law Victoria Sonnek; and also Joan.
