He was predeceased by: his parents, Mervene Spear (Fitzsimmons) and Frank "Bus" Spear; his sister Shirley Koball; his parents-in-law, Lellen "Buck" Jones and Joyce E. "Kling" Jones; and his brothers-in-law, Henry "Hank" Engels and Wade D. Jones.
He is survived by: his nephew Little League; his wife Jann; his sons, Skyler Spear (Sarah) of Truman, Taylor Spear and MacGyver Spear of Welcome, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Sawyer, Samara and Sylas Spear; his sisters, Lois Engels of Wilmont and Marie Thoelke (Scott) of Sioux Falls; and his siblings-in-law, Kal Koball of Sioux Falls and Wendy Wohlers (Dan) of Trimont, Minnesota. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and close friends.
