Arven E. Holland Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arven E. Holland of Welcome, Minnesota, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Holland and Ruth Holland (Baumiester); his daughter-in-law Veronica Holland; his brother Orlin Holland; and his parents-in-law, Babe and Helen Engel.

He is survived by: his wife Meda Holland of Fairmont, MN; his children, Tony Holland of Northrop, MN, Becky Yahnke (Kirk) of Fox Lake, MN and Kathy Behrens of Emmetsburg, IA; his grandchildren, Derek Behrens (Nicole) of Sherburn, MN, Jordan Yahnke (Emily) of Fox Lake, MN, Audra Yahnke of Fox Lake, MN and Bailey Kruse (Danny) of George, IA; his great grandchild Sawyer Behrens; his brother Jerry Holland (Elaine) of Emmetsburg, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Tim Engel of Wayzata, MN, Teresa Roberts of Groves Port, OH, Sally Engel of Lake Elsinore, CA, Larry Engel (Cindy) of Lindenhurst, IL and David Engel of Briggs, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A rosary was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Lakeview Funeral Home (205 Albion Ave, Fairmont, MN 56031). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church (901 S Prairie Ave, Fairmont, MN 56031).

Memorials are preferred to St. John Vianney Catholic School, American Legion Post 36, Disabled Vets of America, Martin County Humane Society, or to the Knights of Columbus.
