He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricia Coon and Louis Coon. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his pet KaDee; his brothers, Mike (Barb) of Lakeville and Dennis (Lisa) of Sheridan, IL.; and his in-laws, Gerald Swanson (Mary) of Rochester, Darlene Kelley (John) of Rochester, Mary Lynn Swanson of Columbia Falls, MT and Lois Shades (Marty) of Burnsville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to HillSpring Church Amphitheater Project.
