She was predeceased by: her parents, Ladislav J. "Laddy" Novak and Anna A. Novak (Pavek); her husband Wilbert F. Shimota; her parents-in-law, Frank W. and Anna J. Shimota; her siblings, Marcie Hadac, Anne Fischer, Rose Franek, Mary Jane Vosejpka, George Novak and Lawrence Novak; and her siblings-in-law, Ed Hadac, Joe Franek, Fritz Vosejpka, Alice Novak and Betty Novak.
She is survived by: her children, Al Shimota (Joyce) of Prior Lake, Karen Pexa (Bob) of New Prague, Gary Shimota (Arlys Hoffman) of St. Thomas, Susan Hackett (Steve) of Ellendale, Carol Sery of New Prague, Fritz Shimota (Deb) of Webster and Lori Pistulka of Lakeville; her brothers, Fritz Novak (Joyce) of New Prague and Jerry Novak of Montgomery; and her sister-in-law Rita Shimota of Hugo. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
