He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earhart and Fern Marie Johnson (Sampson); and his brothers, Patrick and Ira. He is survived by: his wife Julie Alsworth; his siblings, Randy Johnson and Julie Prince; his daughters, Amelia Halsted (Brian) and Erika Burkett (Erick); and his grandsons, Mitchell and Maxwell. He is also survived by sisters in law, nieces and nephews, many cousins, and long-time friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be directed to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans or Twin Cities Public Broadcasting.
