He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Hume and Florence; his stepmother Marjorie; his brother Richard B. Hume; and his grandmother Lola Merz.

He is survived by: his brother Ronald C. Hume (Lori); his sister-in-law Sandy Hume; and his stepsisters, Marcy Heunisch (Richard) and Leslie Gorman (Chuck). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
