With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Powell Jr. of Wayzata, Minnesota, born in Newton, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 18, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugenia Norris Powell and Ralph Dewey Powell; his sister Elizabeth Powell Ohmann (Betsy); and his grandson Kerry Mullaney. He is survived by: his friend Paul Schlaikjer; his wife Deborah Powell; his sister Sarah Powell Jewell; his children, Sarah Powell Cooper (Peter), Douglas Macmillan Powell (Françoise), Bonnie Powell Kuta (Alex), Scott Dewey Powell (Kim), Amanda Carpenter Ragon (Perry), Adam Forbes Carpenter (Pam), Joshua Norris Powell and Nathaniel James Powell; and his grandchildren, Timothy Mullaney, Luke Ragon, Cole Ragon, Clay Ragon, Ben Carpenter, Spencer Tichenor and Cameron Powell.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota.
