He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Starr and Sally Starr; his sister Sal Starr; and his son-in-law Tony Collen. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Starr; his children, Liz Starr, Jack Starr, Cara Starr and Heather Collen; his grandsons, Ivan Baune and Otto Baune; and his brothers, Tom Starr (Gail), Rick Starr (Sue), Bill Starr and Jim Starr (Barb).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Plymouth Chapel (15800 37th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55446). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jesus Catholic Church (155 County Rd 24, Wayzata, MN 55330).
In lieu of flowers or memorial trees, the family asks that donations be made in John's name to Sharing and Caring Hands or Parkinson's Foundation.
