She was predeceased by: her husband James; her parents, Werner Nelson and Irene Nelson (McLaughlin); and her siblings, Bob Nelson and Kathleen Giefer.
She is survived by: her children, John, James II, Libby Best and Patrice Perkins (Dan); her grandchildren, Liz Dawson (Jack), Charlie Perkins and Emily Roberts (Rhett); her great grandchildren, Hendrix, Siena Roberts, Theodore and Margaret Dawson; and her sister Audrey Hammer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
