He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Hove and Bina Van Hove (Tjaden). He is survived by: his wife Wanda L. Mueller of Cedar Falls, Iowa; his daughters, Lori Van Hove and Lynelle Roetzel (Ron) of Minnetrista; his grandson Benjamin Ness (Tara); his children, Bianca, Graham and Naomi; his grandchildren, Daniel Stahlhut and Lydia Stahlhut; and his sister Caroline Stenzel of Iowa Falls.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be given to Christian Crusaders, Cedar Falls, Iowa.
