It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valentine L. Riley (Watkins, Minnesota), born in Freeport, Minnesota, who passed away on December 29, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Riley and Julitta Riley (Rosen); his wife Johanna "Joan" Holdvogt; and his siblings, Angie Olberding, Virg Riley and Gerri Elfering.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Froehling (John) of Hinckley, Mike (Sue) of Frazee, Jan Noll (Jerry) of St. Martin, Sue McCoy (Larry) of Darwin and Kim Gabrelcik (Kevon) of Eden Valley; his grandchildren, Nate Froehling (Emma), Laura Castro (Martin), Nick Froehling, Kristin Riley, Joe Riley (Sophia), Missie Haag (Chet), Mindy Jungbauer (Matt), Miranda Neuwirth (Jason), Stephanie Noll, Jamie VanLoenhout (Jon-Paul), Riley McCoy (Sara), Kara Kammermeier and Kyle Gabrelcik; his sister Gladys Metzger of New Munich; and his siblings-in-law, Tony Schulzetenberg of Sartell and Doris Riley of Cold Spring. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
