He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Pauls and Floyd Pauls Sr. of Watkins, MN; his parents-in-law, Cele and Fred Asfeld; his brother Floyd Pauls Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Pauls and Forrest Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Melanie Pauls, Tina, Kurt Lieser, Nicki and Gary Holthaus; his grandchildren, Chloe, Ty, Mya Lieser, Morgan and Paige Holthaus; and his siblings, Mathew (Lynn Pauls), Shirl (Doug Loch), Karen (Steve Parker), Vicki (Don Schneider), Jeff Pauls (Gail Ransom), Glenn Pauls, Judy Asfeld, Barb (Ken Nistler), Carole Mitchell, Kevin (Lynette Asfeld), Ken (Tami Asfeld), Tom (LaRae Asfeld) and Terry (Sandy Asfeld).
