He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Johnson and Vivian Johnson (Christensen); his daughter Krystal Johnson (Sharon Johnson); and his son-in-law Craig Grady. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Seitz; and his children, Lance Johnson (Nya), Kerri Johnson (Grady), Jo Leen Danielson (Le) and Tom Johnson (Trisha). He is also survived by grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
