He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Stephen and Marie Clare Grubish (Stangler); his wife Gertrude Furr; his siblings, Mary Rooney, Norbert and Merle Grubish (Phyllis); and his daughter-in-law Rita Grubish.
He is survived by: his children, Rose Marie Thiedich (Jerry) of Nicholasville, KY, James Charles of Waterville and Catherine Ann Wilson of Rapid City, SD.; his grandchildren, Eric Thiedich, Cristian Grubish, Avery, Reece and Ty Wilson; his siblings, Charlotte Kaiser, Paul Grubish, Peter Grubish and Stan Grubish (Marilyn); and his brother-in-law Jim Rooney. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (506 Common St, Waterville, MN 56096). A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery - Waterville Us.
