He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Meskan and Margaret Meskan (Suel); his siblings, MaryAnne Haglin, Mitzi Heschmeyer and Jerry Meskan; and his siblings-in-law, Clayton Haglin, Fred Heschmeyer, Gene Chadwick, Jim Pundsack and Lois Pundsack.
He is survived by: his wife Marlys of Waterville; his children, Linda Pommeranz (Paul) of Waterville, Diane Schwecke (Dennis) of Buffalo, Paul Meskan (Jill) of Minneapolis, Christopher Meskan (Chrissy Miska) of Waterville and Stephanie Bagby (Paul) of Anamosa, IA; his foster daughter Ramona Langeslag; his sons, Roger Lawrence of Faribault and Ismael Chang (Cindy) of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Garrett Pommeranz (Erin), Paul K. Pommeranz, Melissa Cook (Colin), Emily Tindal (Cory), Jordyn, Paige Meskan, Eryn Meskan (Haaken Anderson), Jenna Danninger, Jacob, Madeline, Payton Meskan, Kyle Langeslag (Kirsten), Megan and Kelsey Chang; his stepgrandchildren, Jon Bagby (Sarah Bell), David Bagby, Hannah Schwecke, Caleb Schwecke (Christiane) and Joah Schwecke; his grandson Tomas Miska; his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Nathan Pommeranz and Kalan Langeslag; his stepgreat-granddaughter Sloan Schwecke; and his sisters-in-law, Verna Meskan and Elaine Chadwick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Waterville Lions Club, Waterville Fire Department, Lions Hearing or Vision Foundation, or Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville.
