It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Lee Berg of Waseca, Minnesota, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Dora Matz (Fennert); and her brother Chuck Matz. She is survived by: her children, Michele Tischer (Al) of Austin, Marcie Ross (Nathan) of Waseca, Matthew Berg (Kristina) of Waseca and Mitchell Berg of Chesapeake, VA; her grandchildren, Lucas Tischer of Austin, Katey Sellers (Kyle) of Austin, Isaac Tischer (Alyssa) of Austin, Emilee Kortuem (Blake) of Waseca, Alex Ross (Carley Larson) of Waseca, Juliana Sipe (Nathan) of Waseca, Jordyn Doering (Gavin), Ryan Berg of Waseca, Noah Berg, Tyler Berg, Oscar Berg and Lauren Berg; her great grandchildren, Oaklyn, Cleo Tischer, Amelia, Charlotte Sellers, Adalyn Tischer, Tate, William Kortuem and Liam Berg; her sister Connie Krause (David) of Holmen, WI; and her nephews, Scott Matz (Melissa) of Sedalia, MO and Craig Matz (Sheri) of Sedalia, MO. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Paul Lutheran Church (314 4th Ave NE, Waseca, MN 56093).
