He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nuessmeier and Minnie Nuessmeier (Schmidthuber); his daughter Danita Elton; his grandson Aaron Nuessmeier; his sisters, Margie Thelemann and Deloris Traxler; and his brothers-in-law, Alvin Thelmann, Jim Gaard and Jerry Gaard.
He is survived by: his wife Valoris; his daughter Jenny Sandbeck (Doug) of Waseca; his son-in-law Steve Elton of Kasson; his grandchildren, Joshua Nuessmeier (Kimberly), Jonathon Nuessmeier (Skye), Amber Beissel (Aaron), Brianna Johnson (Kyle), Cristina Nienow (Lucas), Ryan, Jayme Sandbeck and Derek Sandbeck (Anje); his great grandchildren, Charlee, Everly Beissel, Jordan Johnson, Kane, Letty Nienow and Hannah Sandbeck; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Gaard and Virgil (Hazel Gaard). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
