We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2021, at the age of 88, Evelyn Mae Kahnke of Waseca, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Wendland and Helen Wendland (Gibson); her husband David James Kahnke; her son David Kahnke, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Patrick and Paige; and her great grandchild Faith.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Disher (Bill) of Owatonna, Barb Roesler (Ed) of Waseca, Collette Berg (Neil) of Waseca, Duane Kahnke (Wendy Muetzel) of Waseca, Don Kahnke (Brenda) of Waseca and Doug Kahnke (Toni) of Belle Fourche, SD; her daughter-in-law Kendra Kahnke of Faribault; and her siblings, John Wendland (Janet) of Garland, TX and Margaret Krassin of Waseca. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; over 40 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She sat with many as a hospice volunteer, supported the Special Olympics, and gave her time to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
