He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell M. Bennett and Rosella Herting Bennett; his wife Mary Bennett; his godson Troy Thompson; his stepgranddaughter Sarah Zlabek; and his extended family Harley Thompson.
He is survived by: his godson Todd Thompson (Brenda); his stepchildren, John C. F. Zlabek (Ann) of Walker and Mary L. Zlabek of Waseca; his great great grandchildren, Colin and Gus; and his cousins, Ron Bennett (LeEtta) of Salem and Dennis Bennett of Spencer. He is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
