He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Marvin, Dolores Sommers, James Bartelt (Pa) and Dianne Bartelt; his grandparents-in-law, Marvin Muotka, Gwendolyn Muotka and Nestor Johnson; his aunt Pamela Vaughan; and his cousin Nicholas Bartelt.

He is survived by: his parents, Mark Sommers and Rebecca Sommers (Bartelt); his wife Kirsten Sommers (Muotka); his children, Owen, Caden, Evelyn and Jameson; his brother Brandon Sommers (Kelly); his nieces and nephews, Carter and Ivy; his brother Matthew Sommers (Nicole); his niece Danielle; his nephew Henry; his sister Mindy Jewison (Scott); his nieces, Eleanor and Lucille; his parents-in-law, Timothy and Vicki Muotka; his sisters-in-law, Allison Muotka (Jeremiah Laughlin), Haley Muotka (Trey Zahradka) and Madeline Muotka; and his grandfather-in-law Dianne Johnson. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
