She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Rudolph and Helen Rudolph (Anderson); and her grandson Zachary Featherly. She is survived by: her husband Lowell Nelson of Waseca; her daughters, Vicki Montgomery (James) of Thurmont, Tammy Nelson (Kevin Featherly) of Bloomington and Debra Nelson (Cris Beal) of Andover; her grandsons, Michael Montgomery (Mary Beth) of Frederick and Nathan Featherly of Bloomington; her great grandchild Maxwell Montgomery; her sister Janet Rudolph of Waseca; her sister-in-law Lois Bartz of Hermosa Beach, California; and her niece Shari Bartz (Chet Taylor) of Manhattan Beach, California..

As a volunteer, she made calls to schedule donors for American Red Cross blood drives and donated blood as often as she could.
