He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sr. Saurdiff and Selma Saurdiff (Dalos); his parents-in-law, Palmer and Irene Lovly; his uncle Carl Dalos; his nephew Carl Sandahl; and his brother-in-law Iver Iverson.
He is survived by: his children, Caroline (Dennis Schweisthal) and Corwin (Amber Beld); his grandchildren, Matthew Petersen (Amy) of West Fargo, ND, Ryan Petersen (Amy) of Buffalo, MN, Paige Saurdiff of Grand Forks, ND and Griffin Herr of Minot, ND; his great grandchildren, Rose, William, Richard Petersen and Chase Petersen; his wife Diane Lovly; his siblings, Paul Jr. Saurdiff (Julie) of Grand Forks, ND, David Saurdiff, Steve Saurdiff (Susan), Lee Saurdiff (Betsy) of Grygla, MN, Sharon Kozojed (Tony Sr), Thief, Diane Sandahl (Bruce) of Lancaster, MN, Susan Hamilton (William) of Skaneateles, NY and Jill Olson (Lee) of Warroad, MN; his siblings-in-law, Carol Iverson of Bemidji, MN and John Lovly (Carol) of Goodridge, MN; and his extended family, Dean "Dino" Grillo, Bill, Heidi, Sadie, Torie Petersen, Katie Brobst, Lonnie Herr, Kari Dunn and Gwen Saurdiff. He is also survived by 30 nieces/nephews, and 49 great-nieces/nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family would encourage a donation to either HELPP, Inc in Warroad or It Takes a Village in Grygla.
