He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Strand and Evelyn Strand; his wife Joyce; his children, Tam Strand (Jerry Enright), Steve Strand (Sarah Hartley) and Dr. Jo Peterson (Dave); his grandchildren, Mae Peterson, Sam Strand and Jack Peterson; and his sister Carole Carlton of Montana. He was also cherished by numerous loving nieces, nephews.
In Lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad, MN.
