He was predeceased by: his parents, Axel Johnson and Ethel Johnson (Karlstrom); his former wife Doris Roley; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Johnson and David Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his daughters, Diane Bjorgaard of Grand Forks, ND and Emilie Holland (John) of Fargo, ND; his great grandchildren, Jacob Bjorgaard (Julie Schliinz) of Fargo, ND and Katie Borns (Eric); his grandchildren, Landon, Claire of Fargo, ND and Laura Anheluk (Tobias); his children, Cecilia and Reese of Minnetonka, MN; his siblings, Grant Johnson (Dorothy) of Windom, MN, Harlow Johnson and Priscilla Jackson of Viroqua, WI; and his friends, Jim and Belinda Folz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
